How Fast is Your Response Time?

How Fast is Your Response Time?

In this day and age so many aspects in our lives have gone into fast forward.  Whether you are finding information, sending messages, buying things or paying bills everything can happen almost instantaneously these days.  We are all used to things happening quickly and that should apply to your response to sales leads on your website. Studies have shown that conversion rates to sales from internet leads is hugely affected by how quickly you respond to them. The following show the impact of conversion rates on calling the potential customer after: 1 minute +391% 2 minutes +160% 3 minutes +98% 30 minutes +62% 1 hour +36% 5 hours +24% 24 hours +17% You may have thought that calling back straight away seemed a little on the needy side and that 30 minutes was more appropriate but delaying the call by that amount of time could reduce your conversion rate by a factor of four. If you catch people while the enquiry is in the fore front of their mind, then maybe they’re more attuned to buy from you.   Maybe you will catch them before they have a chance to approach anyone else and they will be impressed by the quick response and level of service or maybe, like most of us they just expect a quick response with website based enquiries and in life in general.  Why it works isn’t really important, the simple fact of the matter is the quicker you respond the more likely you are to convert that enquiry into a sale.
